Work it out

Tell us two things. We do the arithmetic.

Every plan below re-prices as you change these. We would rather you found the cheap answer than the flattering one, so the cheapest plan that does what you asked for is the one we mark.

Crew, office, and you. Past a plan’s included seats the extra ones bill at that plan’s published rate, which is why the answer moves.

What do you need it to do?

Leave them all off if you are not sure. Each one you turn on rules out the plans that do not carry it. Nothing here adds an upsell.

Cheapest that fits

Permit & Compliance$284per month

$149 base · 3 seats included, then 9 × $15

Base plus seats only. Aerial reports meter past each plan’s included amount at the rates in the table below; nothing here starts a charge.

Past the published ladder the seat rate stops being the right instrument. At this headcount Enterprise is quoted to your scope rather than computed here.

Side by side

Every plan against every other one.

Numbers here are read from the live plan catalog rather than typed into this page, and land here within five minutes of a catalog change; every capability we sell as live links to the shipped page that proves it.

Planned means the capability is named in the plan catalog and shown here on purpose, not available today and not something you are paying for. Not live is the narrower one: it is built and it is in the plan, but we have not opened it to anyone yet, so price the plan on what is checked and treat it as arriving when it arrives. Enterprise allowances and rates are negotiated, so no number is invented for that column.

Before you decide

The parts most pricing pages leave out.

Going over does not lock you out.

We metered the caps instead of enforcing them. Crossing an allowance bills the extra at the published rate and keeps working. Inviting one person past your included seats opens a confirmation showing what the seat costs; it does not refuse the invite, and no capability switches off at the line. A crew locked out of the app mid-job is our problem, not a lever.

A seat added mid-month is billed for that month.

Seats are billed on the highest count reached during the billing period, not the count on the last day. Add somebody for a storm week and take them off, and that period still bills for them. The next period starts from your real headcount. We would rather you read that here than find it on an invoice.

We tell you what is not built yet.

The table above marks a capability Planned when it is on the roadmap for a plan and Not live when it is built and still switched off. Neither one is ever drawn as a checkmark, and you are not paying today for either. We would sooner lose the sale than let a stamp read like a feature.

You can price it before you tell us who you are.

The sizer at the top of this page does its arithmetic in your browser against the same catalog the app bills from. It asks for no email and sends us nothing. Every plan you can buy online prints its price right here, because we did not want a price you had to ask a salesperson for. Enterprise is the one you negotiate.

Why the price steps the way it does.

We price per company, not per seat. Charging you for the foreman is how you end up keeping him off the app, and the app is worth nothing if the crew is not in it. So every plan carries an included seat count and anything past it meters. That is also why a step up the ladder is a real step: you are buying the next block of capability and the room to run it, not permission to add one more person.

Some contractors should not buy this.

We build for Florida trade contractors, and the compliance engine tracks Florida statutes. If your work is out of state it is watching the wrong rules and you should not pay for it. If what you want is a general project-management tool, or estimating and takeoff software on its own, that is not what this is either. We would rather you learn that on this page than in month two.

I still have questions about the money.

  • Do I have to put a card in to find out if this works?

No. Creating an organisation starts a 14-day trial with no card and no Stripe call at all, and nothing on this page starts a charge. Choosing a plan happens on the billing screen after you are signed in, not here. We would rather you decide with a real job in the app than with a card on file.

  • What actually happens the month I run past the included Flory credits or aerial reports?

They meter. Each one past your included amount bills at the rate published for your plan in the table above, and the work keeps going while it happens. Every rate on this page is the rate the app charges, because both are read from the same catalog row.

  • If somebody leaves in the middle of the month, does my bill go down?

Not that month. The period is billed on the highest seat count it reached, so a seat you added and removed inside one period is still billed for that period. The following period starts from where you actually are.

  • Is the price on this page the price I will be charged?

Yes, and it is the same row rather than a copy of it. The prices, seats, allowances and rates here are read from the live plan catalog the billing engine bills from, which is why a catalog change lands here within about five minutes. The screen below this section is that catalog rendered inside the product.

  • Which of the things in that table can I not use today?

The ones stamped Planned or Not live, and they are stamped in the column of every plan they affect rather than in a footnote. Everything sold as live links to the shipped product page that describes it, so you can read what it does before you pay for it.

Shown, not asserted

What you see here is what the app charges.

The same catalog these six columns render from, inside the product: the plan library on the Billing screen, where a subscriber picks or changes a plan.

The PermitPay Billing screen, plan library section, with the monthly billing cycle selected and the entry plan's card in view.
The Billing screen, inside the app.Captured in our own synthetic demo workspace, not a mockup and not a customer’s account. The frame is on the monthly cycle. Set the switch above to Monthly and the plans inside the crop match their columns above, line for line, because both sides render the same catalog rows. The plans past the crop edge are not in this frame.
