About FL Permit Pay
FL Permit PayFlorida contractors lose money to paperwork. We're fixing that.
A 5–75 person roofing, HVAC, plumbing, or electrical shop in Florida runs on two things spreadsheets handle badly: compliance dates and cash flow. A license or COI lapses and a bid disappears. A draw sits unbilled because the pay application is half-built in three places. A permit's status lives in a county portal nobody checks until the inspector is already on site.
FL Permit Pay is one app for exactly that work — keep a lapse from voiding a job, get paid weeks sooner, and bid the work the paperwork used to cost you — built specifically for Florida, not bent to fit it.
Florida accuracy is the product
Every compliance rule traces to a source — DBPR Ch. 489, the WH-347 instructions, the actual county process. When we're unsure, we flag it; we never invent a rule.
Built for the field, not the office
Every screen has to work one-handed on a phone, on a roof, in sunlight, on bad signal. If it needs a desk and two hands, it's wrong.
Permitting, compliance, and payment — owned
We're not trying to be Procore. We own the three things a Florida trade contractor lives and dies by: never miss a permit or a renewal, and get paid faster.
Honest by default
No fabricated reviews, no inflated user counts, no roadmap dressed up as shipped. What you see on this site is what the product does today.
Who's building this
FL Permit Pay is built by Tyler Partain— formerly an AI solutions architect at AWS, who builds and runs AI products with paying users. He's based in Tampa Bay, the same market FL Permit Pay starts in, and on site when it helps.
That's the whole team today — which is exactly why the rules are sourced, the roadmap is honest, and what you see on this site is what the product does, not what it might someday.
What we don't do yet
FL Permit Pay is early. Permit data is entered by hand today — Hillsborough, Pasco, and Pinellas counties have no public status API — and automatic status pull plus scheduled email reminders are on the roadmap, not shipped. We'd rather tell you that than pretend otherwise.
