From a phone call to a job on the schedule.
Seven questions, most of them one tap
- Who is it forSearch your customers by name or phone, or add a new one with a name, phone and email.
- Where and whatThe customer's address fills in. Your main trade is already picked; tap one of your own job templates or a common job type, or type something else.
- WhenPick the day, a time if you have one, and who's going. That books the first visit on the calendar.
- Price and how you billType the price and pick Bill when done or Deposit now. Companies with progress billing also see Progress payments.
- Check it overEverything on one screen with an Edit on every line, then one button: Create job.
What Create job actually does
It runs the same steps the job record's own screens run, with the same permissions, in this order. If one of the later steps does not go through, the job is still saved and the last screen says which part did not happen, with a Try again button.
- Step 1
Makes the job and links the customer
A new customer is checked against the ones you already have by email and phone, and reused instead of doubled. If you came from a board lane, the job lands in that lane.
- Step 2
Opens it ready to bill
A price becomes one billing line for the whole amount. Picked a job template and typed a price? The job gets that one priced line instead of the template's lines at zero dollars, and the template's steps go on the visit notes.
- Step 3
Books the first visit and puts the crew on the job
The visit goes on the calendar with the person you picked, and the trade answers (roof type and squares, system and problem, what's leaking and where, panel and service size) go in the visit notes so the crew sees them.
- Step 4
Starts the deposit bill, but does not send it
Deposit now makes a deposit bill as a draft. Nothing reaches the customer until you tap Send deposit link, which emails it when the customer has an email on file, or copies the link for you to text.
- Step 5
Records texting consent only when you say so
When there is a phone number and your company texting is set up, one box asks whether the customer agreed to appointment texts. It is never ticked for you, and you say how they agreed.
- Step 6
A converted lead brings its customer
Turning a lead into a job now puts the lead's name, email and phone on the job as its customer, so the bill has somewhere to go.
