A new hire you put on a few jobs used to open every job, the company settings and the owner's tour. Now the role you pick decides what they reach, and the database holds them to it.

The role decides the jobs.

One choice when you invite someone sets what they can open from then on.

  1. Step 1

    7 roles, by how far they reach

    Owner and Co-owner run everything. Admin runs the team and settings, everything but billing. Office sees every job, with no billing, company settings or automations. Viewer reads every job and changes nothing. Member sees only the jobs they are put on. Field crew sees only the jobs they are put on, and clocks in and out.

  2. Step 2

    Invite with a role and the jobs

    No role is picked for you. You choose one on purpose, and each choice says which jobs it sees. For Field crew or Member, tick the jobs they work.

  3. Step 3

    They sign in right on the invitation

    The invitation email leads with your company's logo or name and a card with the role you picked. Someone who already has a login finds their address filled in, types only their password, and lands in your company. Password and sign-in emails come from no-reply@flpermitpay.com.

  4. Step 4

    What crew see on their jobs

    Their own jobs. On each one, the job's address and the customer's name and phone number, and not the customer's email or notes. They add and look at that job's photos and documents. No other jobs, and no wage rates.

  5. Step 5

    A first day that fits the role

    In the browser, a new crew member meets the company's name and the jobs they are on, then 3 stops led by Clock in. The phone app shows its own tabs instead. Anyone else who joins sees "You joined" and the company's name, with the jobs their role reaches, read from the database.

  6. Step 6

    Remove someone, and their access ends

    Take a person out of the company and they can no longer open its jobs, photos or documents. A photo or file link already open on their screen stops working within the hour. Their hours and their place on the crew roster stay with the company.

Put each person on the jobs they work.

Pick the role, tick the jobs, send the invite. They see what their role reaches, and nothing past it.

Each role's reach is enforced by the database, not only by what the screen shows.
