We size systems by load calculation, not by reading the label on whatever failed. An oversized unit short-cycles, never pulls the humidity out, and costs more to run. That is the single most common thing we find and fix.
Repipes and water heaters get permitted and inspected. It is not optional and it is the reason the work is still fine when you sell the house.
